Christ in the Tetons

I've mentioned before that I've been leading a six week class going through the Raising a Modern Day Knight video series.

One of the best things about these videos are the segments where the dads and sons are taking on exciting adventures in the Grand Tetons. Having these inspiring backdrops as Robert Lewis imparts the principles from the book definitely adds impact.

The good news is that we fathers have the opportunity to have the same experience with our sons through Christ in the Tetons, an organization that provides "Father and Son Adventures".

They have just release their 2009 schedule so go check it out:

Christ in the Rockies is a brother organization to Christ in the Tetons. Although CITT is no longer active, CITR is still going strong and growing each year. If you are looking for a christian high-adventure father/son camp I encourage you to consider Christ in the Rockies.

Each summer CITR hosts our main events for fathers to welcome their sons into manhood. This week-long event is specifically designed to engage men in daily, high adventure activities such as mountain biking and rock-climbing, that bring out manly qualities of courage, determination and humility. During the evenings our director, Mike Haddorff, shares engaging lessons in what it means to be a man, inspiring sons and fathers to live out authentic, Christian manhood.

I am the rock-climbing director for our camp, and I highly encourage you to check out the Christ in the Rockies website (christintherockies.org) to see if our camp would be an appropriate venue for you to call your son up into manhood.
